Blythe Avery is a 23-year-old artist living and working in Chicago, Illinois. She studied studio art and community organization in college and finds the two inherently intertwined in the belief that good art is about the connectivity of people. In her senior year, Blythe displayed her work in a solo show, titled "with love," which was met with praise from her community and peers.

In this early stage of her career, Blythe is focused on creating work that holds true to her stylistic tastes and interest in human subjects without confining herself to a specific form or medium. Her work, from portraits of others to the scribbling images she creates of herself, is intended to be reflective. Whether it garners the feeling of a hard look in the mirror or the softness of a familiar bond, she hopes her work holds something you see in yourself and others.
